My Story

Hi, I’m Vernon Treuth, owner of Treuth Drone Services and a FAA Part 107–certified remote pilot based in Westminster, Maryland. I’m also a U.S. Army veteran with a strong background in leadership, operations, and customer service—and I bring that same professionalism and attention to detail to every flight.
At a young age, I always wanted to be a helicopter pilot and become a member of the aviation community. Unfortunately, at the time, that wasn’t a path I was able to pursue. But the passion of making a difference in the world led me to the U.S. Army, where I served as a Military Police Officer and completed a 15-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. It was during that deployment that my interest in drone technology truly began. We utilized RQ-11 Raven drones for aerial surveillance, and I quickly realized how important unmanned aircraft would become—not only in the military, but in society as a whole.
After leaving the military, I returned to school with the goal of continuing a law enforcement career and eventually becoming a drone pilot. Due to certain personal events, that dream was temporarily put on the back burner. My law enforcement career was ultimately halted, and I had to adjust—but that passion for aviation and drones never went away.
Today, I’ve brought that goal full circle. I am FAA Part 107 certified and have hands-on experience in aerial photography, videography, mapping, inspections, and data collection, operating a variety of professional UAS platforms. Every mission is carefully planned and flown in full compliance with FAA regulations, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality.
In addition to my aviation background, I have over six years of legal and administrative experience, along with degrees in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies and an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate. That background helps me stay organized, communicate clearly, and manage projects efficiently from start to finish.
As the owner of Treuth Drone Services, I handle every aspect of the operation—from client communication and mission planning to flight execution and final delivery. My goal is simple:
Provide high-quality aerial imagery and data you can trust. I’m not done until you’re fully satisfied with the results.
